About EFisien

Let me introduce myself; I’m Remi Hekker founder of Efisien. After working for a software development company in different roles over the course of three years I decided it was time for me to move on. I learned a lot in the last years while working as a business consultant & analyst on big projects for some major banks and insurers in the Netherlands and the UK and now want to use that experience to be able to serve a wider range of clients.

At Efisien I mostly work alone, but I have a network of freelancers that I hire if a project requires me to do so. We focus on a variety of different subjects, but all related to software in a way or form. From talking to the business side of companies to solve their problems and acting as a translator between them and the technical teams to building and hosting websites and giving advise on IoT-related projects.

Efficacy through efficiency

In short this means, the ability to to something by being efficient. In my experience with a lot of big companies most of the efficiency makes way for bureaucracy and this leads to inefficiency. While in our opinion for most of these companies there is no reason why they should add to the bureaucracy in their workplace. At Efisien we take a no-nonsense approach to our projects and force ourselves to be as efficient as possible.

Our mission is closely related to working location independent. At Efisien we believe that not everyone thrives in the same environment and we've seen productivty skyrocket the moment we decided to do all projects we're involved in on a location independent basis. As the saying goes "time is money" and by putting yourself in an environment that is best for you personally will drastically reduce the time you spend on most jobs.
